Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao
Chairman and Managing Director
This well formulated scheme has become so popular that the other States in India have emulated it time and again.
A legend in CT Surgery, Dr. Bollineni Bhaskar Rao {MBBS, MS, DNB (CT Surgery)} is one of the very few CardioThoracic Surgeons in the country, who performed over 30000 surgeries in his career spanning over more than 25 years.
Well known in the medical fraternity for his passion towards his profession, Dr. Rao started his entrepreneurial journey
at “Mahavir Cardio Vascular Centre” in Hyderabad with 50 beds and performed heart surgeries at an unimaginable low cost of just Rs.45,000 only. Dr. Rao never turned away any patient from the hospital for want of money.
The brand “Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences”, under Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao’s aegis began its journey in 2004 with a 300 bed hospital on par with the then established hospitals of Hyderabad in professional excellence, the state of art technology and infrastructure facilities.
Today KIMS is spread across 12 locations in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Dr. Bhaskar Rao was instrumental in formulating Rajiv Gandhi Aarogyasri scheme, first time launched in Andhra Pradesh in 2007 for providing health care to the poorest of the poor.
This prestigious scheme has won him accolades from all quarters of the country and the world. He was the chief architect of Aarogyashri scheme for both creating it and implementing it successfully.
Dr. B. Abhinay
C.E.O
- Dr. Abhinay Bollineni joined KIMS Hospitals in 2013 and spent the next couple of years in Hospital Operations before taking charge of Strategy & Marketing for the Group in 2015.
Dr. Abhinay is passionate about using technology to enhance patient experience and clinical care. Towards this, he has spearheaded vital initiatives such as SAP, Patient Self Service Portal, and Financial Counselling Tool (which uses AI) among others.
- Dr. Abhinay Bollineni joined KIMS Hospitals in 2013 and spent the next couple of years in Hospital Operations before taking charge of Strategy & Marketing for the Group in 2015.
In a short span of 5 years, KIMS expanded and opened five additional units (Kondapur, Vizag, Anantapur, Ongole, and Kurnool). Shortly after that, he was appointed as the CEO in 2019. The recent acquisitions led by him were of Sunshine Hospitals and Kingsway Hospitals, Nagpur.
Dr. B. Abhinay completed MBBS from the Deccan Medical College, Hyderabad, in 2010. He was the lone qualified medical practitioner from India to be selected by the office of Hillary Clinton in 2011, where he participated in the ‘International Visitor Leadership Program on Oncology: Research, Prevention and Treatment’ held by the US Department of State.
He was named in Business World’s “BW 40 Under 40” list in 2019. Under his stewardship, KIMS Hospitals got successfully listed on the Stock Exchanges in India in 2021.
D. Anitha
Wholetime Director (Director Operations)
- she holds a diploma in business management from the ICFAI University. She also holds certifications for the auditing of quality systems as per ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 9004-2000, and has completed a training programme on internal quality audit for the NABH. She served as Vice President-Administration at e-Talent Software Limited and has over 16 years of experience in the hospital industry, having held various position with our Company. She oversees the administration and patient-care services with dedication and dexterity.

Saumen Chakraborty

- is an independent director of the Company with brilliant academic background and rich corporate experience of over 37 years. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and has also been conferred with the title of “Executive fellow in Management” by Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. He was previously associated with Dr. Reddyy’s Laboratories, Tecumseh, Eicher, C-DOT and CMC and held many vital positions in the fields of Finance, HR, IT, Legal and Business process. He had played a significant role in evolution of Dr. Reddy´s as a Global Pharmaceutical Company, while handling various CXOs role over 20 years. As a Global CFO at Dr. Reddy’s, he built robust financial systems and strong corporate governance thereby enhancing shareholders value. He won a series of Management Excellence awards in his distinguished career from various bodies including CNBC, IMA and BW-Yes Bank. He is the founder and Managing Director of Samarjita Management Consultancy Private Limited. He has been an acclaimed speaker at various global and national conferences. He has deep insights into various issues of Corporate Management with a glowing track record.

- is an independent director who retired as the Director General of Police (DGP) of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State. Postretirement he enrolled with the Bar Council of India. He is postgraduate in Economics and Law. Besides, he holds a post-graduate certificate in Criminal Justice and Police Management from the University of Leicester. He is endowed with a robust understanding on the issues of public importance and has a practical view of various matters concerning administration.

- is an Independent Director of our Company. He holds master’s degree in Science in nuclear physics from Andhra University. He was the Principal Secretary (Health Medical and Family Welfare) to the Government of Andhra Pradesh and also served as an Administrative Member on the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal. He also served as Managing Director of Godavari Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited. His Administrative experience and knowledge on various matters is of great value to the Company.

- is women Independent Director of our Company. She is a veteran banker with 36 years of varied experience with Andhra Bank, where she retired as General Manager. She served as a member of the Indian Banks Association sub-committee on Joint lending arrangements. She has the unique experience of overseeing the governance of diversified industrial companies as a member of their Boards, both while in service in the bank as Nominee Director and subsequently thereafter. Her experience and expertise in credit management and administration during her distinguished career in the bank will be of great help to the Company.
