ABOUT CONFERENCE


The 4th Biennial conference of Indian Motility & Functional Diseases Association is being organized by the Department of Gastroenterology, KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad on April 29th - 30th, 2017.

The Biennial Confernece will be a great opportunity to young Gastroerologists, postgraduate students, physicians and investigators to update their knowledge in the field and get to hear of cutting edge work being done by experts from different parts of the world in general and Asia in particular and to learn from them.

About IMFDA


IMFDA aims to promote multicentric research activities on Functional Gastrointestinal diseases in India. Biennial Meetings will be organized regularly to provide adequate opportunities to young investigators to present there work and also learn from other experts. The first Biennial Meeting of IMFDA was held on 6-7 August 2011, in Lucknow, India.

Disorder of GI motility and FBD are common in India. The aims of IMFDA are:

  • To provide a standardized care to patients suffering from gastrointestinal motility and functional disorders in India
  • To share knowledge about these diseases in India with doctors and other health care workers
  • To increase awareness about these diseases in India with patients, public and policy maker
  • To perform multicentric research on these diseases in India
  • To promote knowledge about gastrointestinal motility disorder and functional bowel diseases in India in all possible ways
