A stroke is a sudden, unexpected interruption in the brain’s blood supply.
A stroke is the death of brain tissue, usually produced by the interruption of blood flow to part of the brain.
Intracerebral haemorrhage is caused by the bleeding of a blood vessel within the brain. As a result of the bleeding, a blood clot forms in the brain, which puts pressure on the brain and causes damage.
A stroke, also called 'Intracerebral Hemorrhage', 'Ischemic Stroke', 'Subarachnoid Hemorrhage', occurs when blood flow to an area in the brain is cut off. The brain cells, deprived of the oxygen and glucose needed to survive, die. If not caught early, a stroke can result in permanent brain damage.
When blood supply to the brain is cut-off it is termed as a stroke, as the cells die out due to lack of blood resulting in a brain attack or stroke. Strokes are manageable and in most cases the victim survives if he or she receives timely and appropriate treatment.
