Orthodontics

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in treating patients with improper positioning of teeth when the mouth is closed (malocclusion), which results in an improper bite. Orthodontics also includes treating and controlling various aspects of facial growth (dentofacial orthopedics) and the shape and development of the jaw. An orthodontics specialist is called an orthodontist. Orthodontics also includes cosmetic dentistry; when the patient's aim is to improve his/her dental appearance.

Our expert orthodontists use a range of medical dental devices, including headgears, plates, braces and so on to help in: closing wide gaps between the teeth, making sure the tips of the teeth are aligned, straightening crooked teeth, improving speech or eating (oral function), improving the long-term health of gums and teeth, preventing long-term excessive wear or trauma (of the teeth) and treating an improper bite.

At KIMS, a high level of professional development is vital to us in our line of work and we are committed to consistently transferring this to our patients. Each team member is constantly trained in the latest technologies in addition to their thorough understanding of traditional methods. Every one of our patients is addressed with the tailored understanding required to ensure their confidence in their specific treatment, their orthodontic care professional and their outcomes.
