Peridontics

Periodontics is that specialty of dentistry which encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the supporting and surrounding tissues of the teeth or their substitutes and the maintenance of the health, function and aesthetics of these structures and tissues.

At KIMS Periodontics Clinic we are pleased to offer a full spectrum of both surgical and non-surgical procedures in the area of periodontics and implants that are performed by board-certified specialists. Every procedure is meant to help establish a healthy periodontium, or foundation of bone and soft tissue, that will help you preserve your natural teeth or implants for years to come.

Your periodontal care visits will be determined by the type of gum disease you have, your rate of plaque build up and your commitment to good oral hygiene practices at home. We work closely with your general dentist to formulate the best periodontal maintenance program for you. Along the way, the doctors of Progressive Periodontics will keep your dentist informed of your progress. Although we may see you periodically for maintenance therapy, these visits do not replace your regular dental checkups with your family dentist.

At a periodontal maintenance visit you can expect: medical and dental history update, soft tissue cancer exam, clinical decay examination, clinical periodontal examination, review of oral hygiene as needed, thorough cleaning of the teeth and gums as well as polishing your maintenance program and a good home care regimen are vital to the success of your oral health.
