Many abnormalites are detected on routine ultrasound scanning of pregnant mothers, and some of these conditions will require surgical intervention after birth. Our paediatric surgeons provide a detailed antenatal counselling service for parents explaining the conditions, the likely outcomes and the surgical management, helping to reduce anxiety.
