Dr. Jaideep Netha D. V.

Dr. Jaideep Netha D. V. is a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist with specialized training and clinical experience in Surgical Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery, Hernia & advanced laparoscopic surgery, Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.

He started  his medical career in 2005, joining MBBS through merit in Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, followed by MS in General Surgery from Gandhi Medical College & General Hospital, Secunderabad, and MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from Osmania Medical College & General Hospital, Hyderabad. He subsequently pursued a Fellowship in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FMBS) recognised by OSSI ( Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of India) at LivLife Hospital, Hyderabad

With experience across academic institutions and leading tertiary-care hospitals, Dr. Jaideep has worked as a Senior Resident in General Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology before progressing through Associate Consultant and Consultant roles in Surgical Gastroenterology. His clinical experience encompasses the evaluation and surgical management of a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, with particular interests in advanced minimally invasive surgery, GI-colorectal-HPB Oncosurgery, and metabolic & bariatric procedures.

His additional fellowship training in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery has not only strengthened his expertise in the multidisciplinary management of obesity and metabolic disease but also refined his advanced laparoscopic surgical skills. His academic work in this field includes research on sleeve gastrectomy with proximal jejunal bypass and its metabolic effects in the Asian-Indian population, including its application as both primary and revision bariatric surgery.

Dr. Jaideep has an active interest in academic medicine and surgical research. His work has included research in non-cirrhotic portal hypertension, pancreaticoduodenectomy, complex hepatobiliary conditions, hepatocellular carcinoma, and metabolic and bariatric surgery. He has presented research and rare surgical cases at national and international scientific meetings, including conferences associated with A-PHPBA, IFSO-APC & OSSICON, and other professional surgical forums.

His academic achievements include securing the State 1st Rank in the Telangana State Super Specialty Entrance Examination in Surgical Gastroenterology in 2016 and being the national topper in the FMBS course for the academic year 2024–25. He has also received recognition and travel support for international academic presentations.

Dr. Jaideep is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterologists (IASG), Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society of India (OSSI), IFSO, IAGES, and the Indian Chapter of IHPBA.

His professional interests extend beyond individual surgical procedures toward developing comprehensive, evidence-based surgical services, particularly in GI-HPB Oncology, Bariatric Surgery, and multidisciplinary obesity care, Hernia & advanced laparoscopy. He is also interested in clinical research, academic collaboration, surgical training, and the adoption of evolving surgical technologies.

With a combination of specialized training in Surgical Gastroenterology and Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery, tertiary-care experience, academic involvement, and an interest in advanced minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Jaideep aims to provide comprehensive surgical care tailored to the individual needs of his patients.
