Professional Experience:

After graduation, Dr. Niwin George acquired further experience in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery during his tenure as Post MCh SR at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (2019 -2021), after which he was a faculty member in the Department of CVTS at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (2022-2024) . During his tenure at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, he was instrumental in pioneering surgical corrections of complex congenital heart diseases and ECMO at the new cardiac surgery center at SAT Hospital. Moreover, Dr. Niwin has contributed to the growth of medical science with many important international publications in the field of adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. He was the chief cardiac surgeon at Daya General Hospital, Thrissur (2024-2026). He is currently heading the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Department at KIMS Hospitals Thrissur.
