Dr. Ramya is a Consultant Radiologist at KIMS Hospitals, Kompally, with expertise in advanced CT and MRI, comprehensive ultrasound and Doppler imaging, musculoskeletal and sports imaging, and image-guided interventions. She combines strong academic credentials with extensive clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to provide accurate, clinically relevant imaging and comprehensive radiological care.

As a physician and consultant radiologist, Dr. Ramya brings a unique clinico-radiological approach to patient care. She believes that imaging should always be interpreted in the context of the patient’s symptoms, clinical history, and examination.

Her approach begins with understanding the patient’s concerns and, whenever appropriate, performing a focused clinical assessment before interpreting the imaging findings. This enables her to integrate clinical examination with advanced CT, MRI and ultrasound imaging, resulting in a more comprehensive and clinically meaningful diagnosis.

Patients can comfortably discuss their symptoms, concerns, and questions with her before the imaging study, while discussing the findings, or after receiving the report. She believes in clear, empathetic communication and takes time to explain relevant imaging findings and their clinical significance in a simple and understandable manner.

She has a particular clinical interest in musculoskeletal radiology, sports injuries, advanced MRI, specialized ultrasound, peripheral nerve imaging, and minimally invasive image-guided procedures.

Dr. Ramya has demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout her medical and radiology training. She was awarded Distinction/Gold Medal in both her MD and DNB examinations, in addition to her strong academic achievements during MBBS.

• She was awarded a Gold Medal by the Gandhi Medical College Alumni Association and recognized as Best Outgoing Postgraduate Student.
• Her academic achievements include Top 10 Best Paper at the 17th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR), 2018, and the 71st Annual Conference of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA).
• She was also a Top 3 finalist in the Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao Gold Medal and Dr. Mandapal Gold Medal competitions, 2019.
• She was recognized as Best Upcoming Radiologist at Mallareddy University of Allied Health Sciences, Suraram, on the occasion of World Radiology Day, 2024.

Academic Leadership:

Dr. Ramya has actively contributed to radiology education through invited lectures, CME programs, faculty seminars, and academic presentations at various medical institutions and professional forums.

She has had the honour of serving as Chief Guest at the International Day of Radiology celebrations at Mallareddy University of Allied Health Sciences, Suraram, for two consecutive years.
