What Happens When You Arrive
Check-in
When you get to the Emergency Room at KIMS Hospitals, Mahadevapura, go to the Triage zone and share your details like your name, birth date, and the reason you need to see a doctor.
Triage
In Triage zone our trained triage nurse will assess your condition. They will ask about your medical history, the medicines you take and why you are visiting, they will also check your vitals and accordingly you will be directed to the respective zone.
Patient attenders will be sent to the registration or billing desk for further process where the registration person will collect patient details. This will help us in providing continued care.
After triage, staff send patients to the right level of care depending on their condition. Our department has 3 level of emergency care:
- Red – For patients who are critically ill (immediate care).
- Yellow – For Patients who are moderately ill (requires monitoring).
- Green – For relatively stable patients.
How do Doctors Decide which Patients Get Treated First?
As soon as any patients enter the emergency room, they will be triaged into different zones based on their condition. Depending on the designated zones, they will be treated on priority.
