Dr. Murali Krishna Padyala is a highly experienced Consultant Urologist, Andrologist and Renal Transplant Surgeon with advanced training in Urology and Renal Transplantation from JIPMER, Puducherry. He has extensive experience in complex urological procedures, minimally invasive and laser surgeries, uro-oncology, male infertility, and kidney transplantation.

He has performed more than 6,000 urological procedures and has been involved in more than 500 kidney transplantations across the KIMS Group hospitals in Andhra Pradesh, including Vizag, Srikakulam, Kakinada, Kurnool, and Ananthapur.

International Experience

Dr. Murali Krishna Padyala has significant international experience in renal transplantation and transplant-unit development.

During his work in Nigeria, he performed more than 150 live-donor kidney transplantations in collaboration with ZMKC. He was also involved in the establishment of a kidney transplant unit at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, working alongside the Government of Nigeria and ZMKC. He performed the first kidney transplant at the institution, contributing to the development of advanced renal transplant services in the region.

Academic & Research Contributions

Dr. Padyala has actively participated in academic conferences, research and surgical innovation.

Presented a paper at TAPASUCON 2019 on Laparoscopic versus Robotic Pyeloplasty.
Received the Best Paper Award at ASICON 2017 for research on the intra-operative use of methylene blue to identify the parathyroid glands and recurrent laryngeal nerve during thyroidectomy.
Published a novel surgical technique in the Indian Journal of Urology titled Managing Intractable Incontinence from a Yang-Monti Channel in a Case of Enterocystoplasty with Bladder Neck Closure – Challenges and a Modified Surgical Technique.
Published research on AV fistula surgery, including outcomes of the two-stage transposition of brachiobasilic arteriovenous fistula, along with a literature review.
Conducted research in urethral stricture disease, with publication forthcoming.
Has participated in and organized numerous CME programmes and academic activities.
