Dr. Neethu Varma P is a Specialist Psychiatrist at KIMS Sreechand Hospital, Kannur. She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Mysore, followed by an MD in Psychiatry from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, under the Kerala University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Neethu is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist with comprehensive clinical experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Her clinical approach is patient-centred and holistic, with a strong focus on understanding each patient’s individual needs and providing evidence-based, personalised mental healthcare.

Prior to joining KIMS Sreechand Hospital, she gained extensive experience in psychiatric outpatient and inpatient care through her clinical practice at various hospitals. She completed her Senior Residency at Government Medical College, Wayanad, and subsequently worked at Josgiri Hospital, Thalassery, Koyili Hospital, Kannur, and Thalassery Mission Hospital. She has also been providing psychiatric outpatient services at Lourde Hospital, Thaliparamba.

Her areas of clinical expertise include comprehensive psychiatric assessment and management, outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care, de-addiction psychiatry, perinatal psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She also has a keen interest in mental health awareness, patient education, and promoting greater understanding of mental health and well-being.

Dr. Neethu has actively participated in academic and professional activities, including publication of a journal article in the Kerala Journal of Psychiatry and presentation at a national-level conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS). She has also conducted health education programmes aimed at improving mental health awareness among the public.
