One of the most comprehensive respiratory care units in the region, the Department of Pulmonology provides evidence-based diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive services for pulmonary diseases. Supported by Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, thoracic surgery, radiology and respiratory therapy teams, the department offers coordinated outpatient, inpatient and emergency care. Advanced diagnostic services include PFT, DLCO, sleep studies, skin-prick allergy testing, pleural fluid aspiration and biopsy, bronchoscopy, EBUS-guided sampling and medical thoracoscopy. Advanced interventional pulmonology expertise enables minimally invasive management of complex airway and pleural disorders, including tracheobronchial obstruction, stenosis and reconstruction. Round-the-clock intensive respiratory care is available for severe respiratory illness and respiratory failure, including early emergency stabilisation, bedside lung ultrasonography, non-invasive ventilation and invasive mechanical ventilation, with multidisciplinary critical care support.
