Dr Manjula Anagani (Padmasree) is an ObGyn Specialist and a Laparoscopic Surgeon who has set a new standard of excellence globally for female surgeons with her dedicated contributions to the field over the last three decades. She pioneered the art of Laparoscopy in the late '90s when it was an emerging technology and was primarily still a 'Man’s World,' wherein all the techniques and equipment that came about were designed to the ergonomics of the male surgeon. Notably, she utilised Autologous Stem Cells for Endometrial Regeneration and introduced a minimally invasive technique for Neovagina creation.

A forerunner in Robotic Surgery, she performed Asia Pacific's first Gynae Robotic Surgery. As a DNB teacher since 2006 and faculty for prestigious institutes, she has trained over 500 Gynaecologists. Her sense of service led to the formation of "Prathyusha Support" - an NGO for destitute women, of which she is a co-founder. This organisation conducts several activities to increase awareness about women’s health in addition to supporting women in distress.

Dr Manjula Anagani has received many Healthcare Excellence Awards and FOGSI Awards, and her research work is published in many national and international journals. She has many chapters to her credit and has co-authored a textbook, 'Approach to Gynaecological Emergencies.'
