Ear Procedures

  • Eardrum repair (tympanoplasty): This inpatient surgery is done to repair any ruptured eardrum and is commonly performed under general anaesthesia. It can take two hours or more to perform depending on the extent of damage to the eardrum (tympanum) and/or the bones of the middle ear (ossicles).
  • Myringotomy and Grommet Insertion: This surgery is done to drain any fluid present in the middle ear, apart from treating conditions such as ear infections, glue ear, ruptured eardrum, etc. In a myringotomy procedure a tiny hole is bored in the eardrum to enable drainage of trapped fluid. Grommet insertion, also called tympanostomy, is where a tiny ear tube is placed across the eardrum to prevent recurrence.
  • Cochlear Implant Surgery: For individuals with profound hearing loss who don’t benefit from hearing aids, a cochlear implant can provide a life-changing improvement in hearing and communication.
  • Mastoid surgery: In mastoidectomy diseased cells from the air-filled spaces in the mastoid bone are removed. The mastoid bone is the part of the skull that is located just behind the ear. Mastoidectomy is often used to treat cholesteatoma, or ear infections that have spread into the skull. It’s also used when placing cochlear implants.
  • Safe Removal of Ear Foreign Bodies: Whether it’s a bead, insect, or cotton bud tip, our specialists gently and safely remove objects lodged in the ear without causing damage.

Nose & Sinus Procedures

  • Correction of Septal Deviation (Septoplasty): This type of nose surgery is done to straighten the bone and cartilage that lie in the septum (tissue that divides the two nostrils). When the septum is crooked, it can make it harder to breathe through the nose. During septoplasty, the septum is moved back to the middle of the nose.
  • Surgery for Nasal Polyps (Polypectomy): This operation is done to remove a polyp that develops in the nose. These are non-cancerous growths but can block breathing, air supply, and sense of smell. It’s usually a minimally invasive procedure.
  • Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS): This minimally invasive surgery is performed for serious types of sinus conditions but is mostly used to treat nasal polyps and chronic sinusitis. Since nasal endoscopes are used to operate inside the nostrils, the surgical procedure usually has no incisions in or around the nose.
  • Airway evaluation during sleep: Sleep Endoscopy procedure is done to understand if the soft palate, tongue base, and tonsils are collapsed causing Sleep Apnoea.
  • Navigation Guided Precision Advanced Minimal Invasive Sinus Surgery: Precision Sinus Surgery using 3D scans and real-time GPS-like tracking. Minimally invasive, scar-free, and highly accurate.
  • Balloon Sinuplasty: A gentle, no-incision technique to open Sinus pathways through a small balloon. It can also be used to treat Chronic Obstructive Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, providing a quick, durable relief from persistent ear fullness, pain, and muffled hearing.
  • Turbinate Reduction (Turbinoplasty): Turbinate reduction helps in the improvement of airflow in people with chronic nasal obstruction. Through this surgery, the size of the turbinates (small, bony structures inside of your nose) is reduced by removing excess tissue. Turbinate reduction is usually recommended if nonsurgical treatments don’t solve the issue.
  • Septoplasty: Septoplasty is done to correct a deviated septum.
  • Endoscopic DCR (Tear Duct Surgery): A scar free nasal procedure to open blocked tear ducts and resolve chronic watery eyes.

Throat & Voice Procedures

  • Tracheostomy (breathing tube insertion): This medical procedure creates an opening in the neck in order to place a permanent or temporary tube into the trachea to allow air to enter the lungs. Breathing is then done through the tube, bypassing the mouth, nose, and throat. It can also be done in emergency settings to restore the breathing.
  • Tonsillectomy: If frequent throat infections or large tonsils are affecting sleep and overall health, removing the tonsils can offer long-term relief.
  • Adenoidectomy: Enlarged adenoids can block nasal breathing and cause ear infections in children. Removal improves both breathing and hearing.
  • Microlaryngeal Surgery: This high-precision voice surgery helps remove nodules, cysts, or polyps from the vocal cords, restoring a clear, strong voice.
  • Repositioning Palatoplasty: Procedure to treats obstructive Sleep Apnoea by reshaping the soft palate through tissue preservation while repositioning muscles to widen the airway and prevent collapse.
  • Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES): Passing a thin, endoscope with light through the nasal passages into the throat to examine the real-time visualisation of the swallowing process, thus identifying abnormalities.
