Responsible for managing the dialysis unit which includes monitoring vascular access, managing complications of chronic kidney disease, managing any kind of emergency during dialysis and effectively communicating with the patients and their attendants and providing specialized, individualized attention.  

 

The Bangalore Hospital, Bangalore - 2008 to 2011

Worked in the department of Internal Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Sukumar Shetty as a Senior Registrar for a period of 5 months. Completed a three year course of DNB (General Medicine) from the same hospital. 

During this period worked in various sub specialties of general medicine including but not limited to Cardiology, Diabetology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Emergency services, ICU services and others. During this period effectively was able to diagnose the cases appropriately, learnt the skill of independent decision making and take full responsibility of the concerned departments and patients. As part of the DNB program was deputed at NIMHANS Hospital for 2 months to gain experience in the field of Neurology and at Jayadeva institute of cardiology for about a month.  

Delivered a thesis on the title “Prevalence of Microalbuminuria in recently diagnosed patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus“ which was accepted by the DNB board at first submission. 


Mediciti Hospitals, Hyderabad - 2006 to 2008 

During this period worked as a Junior Resident in the department of Internal Medicine. Worked in the MICU, learnt the basic medical procedures like peripheral and central line placement, endotracheal intubation, pleural and ascitic tapping etc. Worked in the medical wards, OPD services and emergency services. 


Gandhi Hospital, Gandhi Medical college, Hyderabad – 2005 to 2006 

During this period did the rotatory internship for a period of 9 months. Being a Government setup had a great experience in dealing with large volumes of cases and developed excellent clinical acumen during this period.
