Brief Profile:

Air Cmde (Dr.) Ajay J Swamy (retd.) is at present working as Senior Consultant Cardiology at KIMS, Hyderabad, India. He obtained his MBBS and MD at the Armed Forces Medical college and his DM Cardiology at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has served the Armed Forces for 30 years. He has held appointments of Prof Cardiology at Army Hospital (R and R), New Delhi, AFMC, Pune and was Dean academics at Command Hospital, (Air Force), Bangalore, before joining KIMS. He has 20 years of experience as an interventional cardiologist and has done over 16,000 procedures over the last two decades.

He has extensive expertise with complex coronary work, including intracoronary imaging(OCT and IVUS), physiology (FFR, RFR, IMR), structural heart disease, including TAVR and paravalvular leaks, aortic intervention, and all aspects of pacemaker therapy. He is a teacher and proctor for all compolex procedures and is often sought out for his expertise.

Dr. Ajay Swamy has more than 50 publications in national and international journals, contributed chapters to textbooks in cardiology, and received best paper awards in international and national meetings. He is a Member of several national and international organizations, including the Cardiology Society of India, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiac Intervention.

He is a regular faculty in the national and international meetings and CME programs. He conducts teaching workshops on all aspects of interventional cardiology, including OCT, rotablation, CTO , Left main disease intervention, and TAVR. He has organized many national and International meetings in cardiology.
