Dr. Jaison Thomas is a highly motivated and skilled Surgical Gastroenterologist with an extensive academic foundation and hands-on expertise in complex gastrointestinal (GI) and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeries. He is dedicated to providing advanced minimally invasive and evidence-based surgical care, focusing on laparoscopic and open procedures for both GI malignancies and benign diseases. His surgical proficiency includes advanced upper GI, colorectal, and proctology procedures, alongside exposure to robotic surgery and emergency laparotomies.
In addition to his surgical skills, Dr. Jaison has a robust foundation in Critical care and emergency medicine. He has significant experience managing surgical and trauma ICUs as an attending doctor and is skilled in performing life-saving emergency room procedures such as endotracheal intubation, tracheostomy, and central line insertion. A keen researcher, he has contributed to numerous international publications and presentations on topics ranging from pancreaticoduodenectomy outcomes to chronic pancreatitis treatments. He is an active member of several prestigious medical bodies, including the Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) and the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA).
