HOD & Senior Consultant– Emergency & Trauma Care
Dr. Pradeep Thomas is an accomplished emergency physician and healthcare leader with over seven years of clinical, academic, and administrative experience in Emergency and Trauma Medicine. He currently heads the Emergency and Trauma Care Unit at MGM Muthoot Hospitals, Kozhencherry, where he also serves as the Director of the CCT Emergency Medicine Programme by the Society for Emergency Medicine India and Clinical Quality Lead across affiliated centers.
After completing his MBBS from Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Kerala, Dr. Pradeep pursued his Master's in Emergency Medicine (MEM) at Aster Medcity in collaboration with The George Washington University, USA. His postgraduate training refined his capabilities in high-acuity care, trauma resuscitation, pediatric emergencies, and disaster response. He holds advanced certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, POCUS, E-FAST, and international trauma and disaster support training.
Dr. Pradeep is also a Certified Professional for Quality Implementation in Hospitals (CPQIH – Advanced & Basic) from the National Healthcare Sector Skill Council. He also holds an MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Administration from DY Patil University, which further reflects his commitment to combining clinical excellence with operational strategy.
In recognition of his exemplary contributions, Dr. Pradeep was honored as the “Early Achiever in Trauma Care” at the First National Emergency and Intensive Care Conference hosted by King George Medical University in 2024
And excellence in accident and emergency care by global healthcare in 2022
These awards underlined his impact on early trauma recognition, horizontal resuscitation, and prehospital coordination of emergency care.
His public health engagement includes organizing and leading awareness campaigns on World Trauma Day, Emergency Medicine Day, and disaster preparedness events under PULSE 2022 and 2023. He has also been recognized for his contributions to social health causes by the Government of Kerala and other civil institutions.
