Profile Summary
Dr. Rachana Palakkal is a highly skilled Gynaec Oncologist with extensive training in advanced surgical care and oncology treatments. She has gained profound experience in a wide range of gynec-oncological surgical techniques, including extensive cytoreductive surgeries, radical hysterectomy, pelvic and para-aortic node dissection, and fertility-preserving surgeries. Her expertise also extends to minimally invasive procedures such as robotic and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries, as well as the management of premalignant lesions through colposcopy and LEEP.
Prior to specializing in oncology, Dr. Rachana served in the Kerala Government health service, particularly in tribal areas, where she managed critical delivery points during the COVID-19 era. She has a strong foundation in obstetrics, having attended over 400 caesarean sections and numerous vaginal deliveries during her post-graduation. An active contributor to medical research, she has presented papers and videos at national conferences on topics like HIPEC in ovarian malignancy and embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. Dr. Rachana is passionate about teaching and continues to contribute to the field through clinical excellence and research.
