In a life-saving effort, doctors at KIMS-ICON Hospital successfully treated a 37-year-old man who suffered severe burns and toxic exposure to ammonia gas and steam after a workplace blast.
🩺 Led by Dr. R. V. Ravi Kanna, the team acted swiftly as the patient’s oxygen levels dropped and carbon dioxide levels rose. He was placed on VV-ECMO, a critical life-support system that temporarily supports lung function.
👨⚕️ With coordinated care from specialists including Dr. M. Ravi Krishna, Dr. K. S. Phaneendra Kumar, Dr. Nitesh Reddy Dharmala, and Dr. K V N R Sandya, the patient gradually recovered and was discharged after two weeks, with improving vision.
