An 8-year-old boy from Sanjamala village developed severe acute kidney injury following a snakebite after treatment was delayed due to traditional remedies.

Brought to KIMS Cuddles, Kurnool with swelling, breathing difficulty and dangerously elevated blood urea levels, the child received emergency hemodialysis and intensive PICU care under the supervision of Consultant Pediatric ICU Specialist Dr. P. V. Ravi Kiran.

With timely, specialized treatment, the child’s kidney function was successfully restored and he made a good recovery.
