Hyderabad Glows Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!🌸

In a powerful show of solidarity, Raj Bhavan turned pink for the 7th consecutive year as part of the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation’s (UBCF) 18th annual 'Paint the City Pink' campaign!

Hyderabad holds the unique global distinction of being the only city in the world where iconic monuments light up in pink.

Alongside Raj Bhavan, 8 major landmarks shone in pink light — including Charminar, the Buddha Statue, Osmania University Arts College, Prasads IMAX, T-Hub, Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, and KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad!

Hon’ble Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla extended his support to Padmashri awardee Dr. P. Raghu Ram (Founding Director of KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases) for his tireless advocacy. The Governor emphasized that painting the city pink goes beyond illuminating buildings — it is a message to break the silence surrounding breast cancer, spread hope, and save lives through early detection.
