Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease. Named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, who first described and diagnosed the symptoms of the disease in the year 1932 along with his colleagues Dr. Leon Ginzburg and Dr. Gordon D. Oppenheimer. It is characterized by the chronic inflammatory condition of your gastrointestinal tract.
