Overview:
Dr. Dilshad Thondiparambil is an accomplished anaesthesiologist and hospital administrator, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Consultant in Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine at KIMS Sreechand Hospital. With over a decade of experience in clinical anaesthesia and medical leadership, Dr. Dilshad combines deep expertise in perioperative care with a strong foundation in healthcare management and quality systems. He has previously held key positions including Deputy Chief of Medical Services, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, and Quality Head at Aster Mother Hospital, Areekkode, where he played a pivotal role in securing NABH 5th edition and digital accreditations.
Dr. Dilshad holds an MBBS degree from Jubilee Mission Medical College under Calicut University and a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Anaesthesiology from the Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences. He has also completed a Fellowship in Pain Medicine from the Delhi Pain Management Centre, further strengthening his proficiency in advanced pain care. His training includes skills in general and regional anaesthesia, pediatric and obstetric anaesthesia, intensive care, and interventional pain management. He has substantial experience in trauma, emergency medical services, neuroanaesthesia, transplant anaesthesia, and onco-anaesthesia, and is certified in both BLS and ACLS by the American Heart Association.
He has led numerous critical care interventions, particularly in high-risk obstetric and pediatric cases, and is adept at ultrasound-guided procedures and advanced airway management. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Dilshad is a published researcher with studies in perioperative analgesia and postoperative nausea prevention, and was awarded Aster India’s Best Clinical Audit Award in 2023.
