Dr. Sheela Gopinath

Dr. Sheela Gopinath is an experienced gynaecologist with over 25 years of service in the field of women’s health and obstetric care. She holds qualifications including MBBS, DGO, and DNB, and completed her training at Government Medical College, Trivandrum. Dr. Sheela specializes in areas such as childbirth, fertility care, gynaecological disorders, and women’s mental health. She has worked as a consultant gynaecologist in several reputed hospitals.

After completing her MBBS in 1990, she finished her DGO (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) in 1998. She then obtained her DNB qualification from S.A.T. Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. In addition to this, she also completed MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy) training at the Government Hospital in Thycaud.

Her professional career began in 1998, giving her a total of 27 years of experience in the field. She started her service as a Consultant Gynaecologist at Holy Cross Hospital, Kottiyam, from 1998 to 2000. Following that, she worked at the Government Hospital in Thycaud from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2008, she served at Pearl Hospital, Karunagappally. Then, from 2008 to 2013, she worked at Kaduvayil Thangal Kunju Charitable Trust Hospital in Kallambalam, Attingal. After that, she continued her service at various reputed hospitals across the Kollam district. Currently, she is working as a Consultant Gynaecologist at KIMS Valiyath Hospital.

She has successfully completed a Clinical Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Pelvic Surgery (FMIS – Pelvic Surgery) from Sunrise Institute of Medical Science Pvt. Ltd.
