🏥 KIMS Hospitals, Kondapur, successfully treated a highly complex case of chronic obstructive jaundice that had been declared inoperable even at international centres.
🩺 Dr. Ravula Phani Krishna, Senior Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist, GI & HPB Oncologist, Bariatric, Metabolic & Robotic Surgeon, Liver Transplant Surgeon, explained that the 30-year-old patient suffered from a rare pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour causing jaundice for nearly eight years.
After years of temporary stenting, the KIMS Kondapur team performed a two-stage advanced surgical procedure, including a 10-hour marathon surgery, to permanently relieve the obstruction.
✨ The patient recovered smoothly and returned to work within six months — completely jaundice-free after eight long years.
